Govt borrows BDT 17bn issuing T-bills

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - The government borrowed BDT 17 billion from the market through issuing treasury bills (T-bills) on Sunday to fiancé budget deficit partly, officials said.
 Total 31 bids of BDT 16.9624 billion for 91-Day T-bills and 31 bids of BDT 15.2652 billion for 364-Day T-bills were offered. Of those, five bids of BDT 8.0 billion for 91-Day T-bills and 13 bids of BDT 9.0 billion for 364-Day T-bills were accepted.
The range of the implicit yield of the accepted bid was 7.11-7.17 percent and 7.91-8.03 percent respectively, according to the auction result.
