Govt borrows BDT 180bn using T-bills

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BB)-The government borrowed BDT 180 billion from the market through its treasury bills (T-bills) auction on Sunday, officials said.

Total 37 bids of BDT 15.6090 billion for 91-Day T-bills and 49 bids of BDT 15.1683 billion for 364-Day T-bills were offered. Of those, 19 bids of BDT 9.00 billion for 91-Day T-bills and 25 bids of BDT 9.00 billion for 364-Day T-bills were accepted.

The range of the implicit yield of the accepted bid was 7.41-7.53 percent and 8.09-8.25 percent respectively, according to the auction result.
