Govt borrows BDT 21.02bn issuing T-bills

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The government has borrowed BDT 21.02 billion from the market through issuing treasury bills (T-bills), officials said on Monday.
 
Total 31 bids of BDT 24.3252 billion for 91-Day T-bills and 33 bids of BDT 11.93 billion for 364-Day T-bills were offered on Sunday. Of those, nine bids of BDT 11.02 billion for 91-Day T-bills and 19 bids of BDT 7.98 billion for 364-Day T-bills were accepted.

Accordingly, BDT 1.2120 billion was devolved on primary dealers and BDT 808 million was devolved on non-primary dealer banks for 364-Day T-bills.

The range of the implicit yield of the accepted bid was 6.78-6.85 percent and 7.89-8.00 percent respectively, according to the auction result.
