Govt borrows BDT 5.0bn issuing bonds

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The government borrowed BDT 5.0 billion from the banks through issuing its two-year treasury bonds on Tuesday, officials said.
Thirty six bids amounting total of BDT 12.9815 billion were offered against pre-targeted amount of BDT 5.0 billion. Of those, six bids amounting total of BDT 5.0 billion were accepted.
The coupon rate of the accepted bid was 8.8800 percent, according to the auction result.
