Govt borrows BDT 5.50bn through issuing bond

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– Bangladesh government borrowed BDT 5.50 billion through issuing two-year Bangladesh Government Treasury Bond (BGTB) on Tuesday, officials said.

Thirty bids amounting total of BDT 7.2165 billion were offered against pre-targeted amount of BDT 5.50 billion. Of those, 19 bids amounting total of BDT 5.50 billion were accepted.

The coupon rate of the accepted bid was 8.7500 percent, according to the auction result.
