Govt borrows BDT 7.0bn issuing bonds

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The government has borrowed BDT 7.0 billion though issuing 05-year Bangladesh Government Treasury Bonds (BGTBs) to finance the ongoing budget deficit.
 

An auction of 05-year BGTBs was held on Tuesday, officials said.
 

Of which 57 bids amounting total of BDT 15.3713 billion were offered against pre-targeted amount of BDT 7.00 billion. Of those, 10 bids amounting total of BDT 7.00 billion were accepted.
 

The coupon rate of the accepted bid was 10.2500 percent, according to the auction result.
