Govt borrows BDT 7.50bn issuing treasury bonds

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - The government borrowed BDT 7.50billion on Tuesday through its 20-year and 15-year treasury bonds auction, officials said.

Fourth nine bids amounting total of BDT 6.6334 billion were offered against pre-targeted amount of BDT 3.50 billion for 20-year Bangladesh Government Treasury Bonds (BGTB). Of those, 36 bids amounting total of BDT 3.50 billion were accepted. The coupon rate of the accepted bid was 12.1400 percent.

Besides, 48 bids amounting total of BDT 6.3240 billion were offered against pre-targeted amount of BDT 4.00 billion for 15-year BGTB. Of those, 33 bids amounting total of BDT 4.00 billion were accepted. The coupon rate of the accepted bid was 11.9700 percent.
