Govt borrows BDT16.50bn issuing T-bills

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– The government borrowed BDT16.50 billion from the market through its treasury bills (T-bills) on Sunday, officials said.

Total 47 bids of BDT 29.1120 billion for 91-Day T-bills and 52 bids of BDT 27.8907 billion for 364-Day T-bills were offered. Of those, 13 bids of BDT 8.00 billion for 91-Day T-bills and 13 bids of BDT 8.50 billion for 364-Day T-bills were accepted.

The range of the implicit yield of the accepted bid was 6.75-6.80 percent and 7.70-7.84 percent respectively, according to the auction result.
