Govt borrows BDT17.50bn issuing T-bills

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The government borrowed BDT17.50 billion through issuing its treasury bills (T-bills) on Sunday, officials said.

Total 32 bids of BDT 19.9452 billion for 91-Day T-bills and 31 bids of BDT 11.5238 billion for 364-Day T-bills were offered. Of those, seven bids of BDT 9.00 billion for 91-Day T-bills and 18 bids of BDT 7.97 billion for 364-Day T-bills were accepted. BDT 530 million was devolved on the Bangladesh Bank for 364-Day T-bills.

The range of the implicit yield of the accepted bid was 6.99-7.00 percent and 7.84-8.00 percent respectively, according to the auction result.
