Govt borrows BDT3.0bn reissuing bonds

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The government borrowed BDT 3.0 billion through re-issuing its treasury bonds on Tuesday to finance budget deficit partly, officials said.

Thirty-five 35 bids amounting total of BDT 7.1219 billion were offered against pre-targeted amount of BDT 1.50 billion for 15-Year Bangladesh Government Treasury Bonds (BGTB). Of those, six bids amounting total of BDT 1.50 billion were accepted. The cut-off Price of the accepted bid was BDT 100.4546 (per 100.00 BDT).

On the other hand, 39 bids amounting total of BDT 6.2581 billion were offered against pre-targeted amount of BDT 1.50 billion for 20-Year BGTB. Of those, two bids amounting total of BDT 1.50 billion were accepted. The cut-off Price of the accepted bid was BDT 100.0316 (per 100.00 BDT).
