GP declares 95pc interim cash dividend

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The board of directors of GrameenPhone (GP) has declared 95 percent interim cash dividend for the year ending on 31 December 2014, said an office disclosure on Tuesday.

The company said that it declared interim cash dividend out of the provisional net profits of the company for the half-year ended on 30 June 2014 and retained earnings as of 31 December 2013.

The company has also reported net profit after tax of BDT 10,601.27 million, EPS of BDT 7.85, NAV per share of BDT 25.91 and NOCFPS of BDT 9.80 for the half-year ended on 30 June 2014 as against BDT 5,103.84 million and BDT 3.78 respectively for the same period of the previous year.

Record date for entitlement of interim dividend: 05.08.2014.

Meanwhile, the board of directors of Marico Bangladesh Limited has declared 150 percent interim cash dividend for the year ending on 31st March 2015 based on 1st Quarter financials for the period ended on 30th June, 2014.

Record date for entitlement of interim cash dividend: 07.08.2014.

There will be no price limit on the trading of the shares of the two companies Tuesday following their corporate declaration.
