Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) -GrameenPhone (GP) dominated the week’s top turnover chart with shares worth BDT 1.54 billion changing hands in the last week.

 
The trading of GP’s shares increased sharply during the week as its first quarter net profit up by 13.66 percent, market operators said.
 
As per un-audited quarterly accounts for the 1st quarter ended on 31st March 2014 (Jan’14 to March’14), the mobile operator has reported profit after tax of BDT 5,160.07 million with EPS of BDT 3.82 as against consolidated profit after tax (excluding non-controlling interest) of BDT 4,539.58 million and consolidated EPS of BDT 3.36 for the same period of the previous year, revealed on May 6, 2014.
 
It was followed by Meghna Petroleum BDT 709.46 million, Heidelberg Cement BDT 594.75 million, Matin Spinning BDT 581.49 million, Olympic Industries BDT 571.28 million, Lafarge Surma Cement BDT 542.48 million, Square Pharma BDT 533.48 million, Padma Oil BDT 451.48 million, Golden Son BDT 432.23 million and Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company BDT 361.33 million worth shares changing hands during the week.
