Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Grameenphone’s (GP) net profit fell slightly by 6.87 percent between July and September 2014 (Q3) from the same period a year ago, according to an office disclosure on Wednesday.
As per un-audited quarterly accounts for the 3rd quarter ended on 30th September 2014 (July’14 to Sep’14), the company has reported profit after tax of BDT 5,345.30 million with EPS of BDT 3.96 as against BDT 5,739.41 million and BDT 4.25 respectively for the same period of the previous year.
However, GP’s net profit rose by 48.60 percent between January and September period (nine months’14) from the same period a year ago, the data showed.
In the first nine months in 2014, profit after tax was BDT 15,922.37 million with EPS of BDT 11.79 for the period of nine months (Jan’14 to Sep’14) ended on 30.09.2014 as against BDT 10,714.32 million and BDT 7.93 respectively for the same period of the previous year.
