Grameenphone approves 65 percent cash dividend for 2011

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Grameenphone (GP), the country's largest mobile phone operator, has recommended 65 percent cash dividend for the year 2011. 
The company's board of directors took the decision at a meeting, held at its city office on Tuesday. 
As per the announcement, the GP shareholders will get BDT 6.5 against each share of BDT 10.0. Earlier, the company disbursed 140 percent interim cash dividend in 2011. 
The market price of the GP shares on Tuesday went up by 5.85 percent or BDT 8.90 to close at BDT 161.00 each, according to the Dhaka Stock Exchange statistics.
