Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The employees of Grameenphone (GP), especially those whose jobs had already been cut, formed a human chain in front of its head office at Bashundara Residential Area in the capital Dhaka on Thursday.
The agitating employees, who also include those in slashing list, under the banner of Grameenphone Employees Association (GPEA) staged the demonstration to realise their six-point demand. Earlier, they also besieged the office of Grameenphone.
In an hour-long human chain from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, the employees association urged the GP authorities to stop job cut immediately, terming it unlawful. They also called for amicable solution of the problem as soon as possible.
