Green chilli, eggplant, cucumber and coriander export banned in Ramadan

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The Ministry of Commerce has decided to ban the export of green chilli, eggplant, cucumber and coriander leaves to increase supply and keep their prices under control during the month of Ramadan.
The decision was taken as per the recommendation of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) on special consideration only for the month of Ramadan, a FBCCI press statement said on Saturday.
The FBCCI leaders have congratulated the government for taking the decision. It said "the FBCCI also conveyed their sympathy to the concerned exporters for their inconvenience as the export order ban was taken for the greater interest of the people."
