Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will pay a 6-day official visit to China from June 6.

Hasina is going to China at the invitation of the Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.

During the visit, the Prime Minister will hold official talks with the Chinese premier and meet Chinese President Xi Jinping, said a press statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

She will also meet Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Yu Zhengsheng and hold meeting with the Vice-Premier of China Wang Yang.

The PM will address the Bangladesh-China Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum to be hosted by the China Council for Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) to promote investment and trade between Bangladesh and China.

On her way to Beijing, Hasina will visit Kunming at an invitation of the Governor of Yunnan Province Li Jiheng.

She is expected to inaugurate the 2nd China South Asia Exposition in Kunming as Special Guest on June 6.

She will also address a gathering of China-South Asia Business Forum in Kunming on June 7.

The forthcoming visit of Bangladesh Prime Minister to China is a reaffirmation of the close and comprehensive partnership between the two countries and is expected to add new dynamism to the bilateral relations in the coming days.
