HeidelbergCement approves 33 percent cash dividend

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- HeidelbergCement Bangladesh Limited has approved 33 percent cash dividend for its shareholders for the year 2008.

The approval came at the 20th annual general meeting (AGM) of the company in Dhaka on Thursday.

The company’s chairman said that the year 2008 was an eventful and exceptional year in the company’s history.

Total production and sale of the company exceeded to 1.0 million tons, was record breaking. Market share of the company has further increased.

Despite various adverse factors, the company’s sales increased by about 4.0 per cent from last year, the company said.
