HK-France joint venture company to invest $6.5 million in Bangladesh

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - M/S French Fashion Knitting Pvt. Limited, a Hong Kong-France joint venture company, will set up a garment accessories manufacturing industry in the Adamjee Export Processing Zone (EPZ) of Bangladesh.

The 100 percent foreign owned company will invest US$ 6.5 million in setting up its plant and produce garments accessories. The company will also create employment opportunity for 1000 Bangladesh nationals and five foreigners.

An agreement to this effect was signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and the company in BEPZA Complex in Dhaka on Wednesday, officials said.

Prasanta Bhushan Barua, Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA, and Jeremy Grasset, Managing Director of M/s. French Fashion Knitting Pvt. Limited, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
