Stockholm, Sweden (BBN)– Swedish fashion giant H&M Group’s sales including value added tax (VAT) increased by 14 per cent in local currencies in June 2015 compared to the same month the previous year.

“Sales in June have been positively affected by calendar effects of approximately 3.0 percentage points,” a company announcement said on Wednesday.

The total number of stores amounted to 3,642 on 30 June 2015 versus 3,301 on 30 June 2014.

H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB (publ) was founded in Sweden in 1947 and is quoted on Nasdaq Stockholm.

In addition to H&M, the Group includes the brands COS, Monki, Weekday, Cheap Monday, & Other Stories as well as H&M Home.

The H&M Group has more than 3,600 stores in 59 markets. In 2014, sales including VAT amounted to more than SEK 1766 billion and the number of employees was more than 132,000.
