House collapse kills six of a family in Habiganj

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Six members of a family were killed when the wall of their earthen house collapsed on them during a landslide in the country’s northeastern Habiganj district on early Saturday, officials confirmed.

The victims were sleeping while the landslide occurred due to heavy overnight rains at Paniunda area under the district, they added.

The deceased were identified as Mubarak Miah, 42, his wife Asma Begum, 35, their children-Sumon Miah, 10, Amina Begum, 7, Ripon Miah and Nayon Miah, 2.
