Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The results of this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations will be published on August 9.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid disclosed the information to reporters at his office on Sunday.
Education minister will hand over a copy of the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office on August 9.
The results will be formally announced during a press conference at the secretariat around noon on the very day.
The examinees will get their results from their respective centres and boards, and on cell phones through SMS.
The results will also be available on the website: http://www.educationboardresults.gov.bd.
A total of 10,73,884 students under 10 education boards, including one madrasa and one technical board, appeared the examinations from 8,305 educational institutions.
Of the total students, 570, 993 are boys and 502,891 girls.
The examinations held at 2,419 centres across the country.
This year, the number of total examinees has decreased by 67,490 from 1,141,374 of the last year.
The written examinations ended on June 11 beginning from April 1.
On the other hand, the practical examinations ended on June 22 beginning from June 13.
