Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– AKM Abdul Malek Chowdhury, Head of Risk Management Unit and Md Mahbub-ul-Alam, Head of Treasury Division, International Banking Wing, have been promoted to the post of Deputy Managing Directors of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) recently.
Mr Malek started his banking career on January 1, 1979 as Economist (senior officer) with the then Bangladesh Shilpa Bank. He joined the IBBL on January 15, 1985 as Principal Officer (Economist) and has been working for the bank in different capacities.
On the other hand, Mr Alam joined the bank as a probationary officer in 1984 and has been working in the bank in different capacities for the last 28 years.
