Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) was inaugurated as its 264th branch at Trishal in Mymensingh on Tuesday, the bank said.
Engineer Md. Eskander Ali Khan, Chairman, Executive Committee of the bank inaugurated the branch as chief guest. Presided over by Engineer Md. Abul Bashar, Deputy Managing Director, Shamsul Huda, FCA, Former Director of Islami Bank and ABM Anisuzzaman, Mayor of Trishal Municipality, Mymensingh were present as special guest.
Md. Eskander Ali Khan in his speech said that Islami Bank is the Bank of all the people of the country. Its welfare is spread for all. The Bank is working for development of service including ATM and all modern facilities. He called upon all for socio economic development of the country by taking the welfare oriented service of the Bank.
Md. Abul Bashar, Deputy Managing Director of the Bank said that IBBL is not only discharging interest free banking but also working for implementation of the objectives of Islamic Economics.
He also said that IBBL is working for economic development of the country and uplift the poor.
