Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - The management of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) has been advised to play pioneer role in industry and agriculture sector by enhancing trade and commerce for the growth of the country.
The advice was made at a board of directors meeting of the bank held at its headquarters in the capital Dhaka on Saturday with its acting chairman Engr. Mustafa Anwar in the chair.
The meeting also expressed its satisfaction while evaluating the performance of the bank over the success and progress achieved so far and took some important business decisions.
Local and foreign directors along with Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Managing Director and Prof. Abu Bakr Rafique, Pro-Vice Chancellor, International Islamic University, Chittagong and Member Secretary of Shariah Supervisory Committee of the Bank were present in the meeting, the IBBL said.
The board expressed deep condolence at the death of His Majesty King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud and prayed for salvation of his departed soul.
The board also prayed to Allah to guide and bless His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and his Crown Prince in their grand role of leading Saudi Arabia into a bright future.
