Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited opened its 316th branch at Bhaluka in Mymensingh on Tuesday.
Professor Dr M Amanullah, MP of Mymensingh-11, inaugurated the branch as chief guest.
Mohammad Abdul Mannan, managing director & CEO of the bank, presided over the program.
Borhan Uddin Ahmed, director of the bank; and Dr Mohammad Manzur-e-Elahi, member of Shariah Supervisory Committee of the bank; addressed the ceremony as special guests.
Rafiqul Islam Pintu, vice chairman of Bhaluka Upazilla Parishad; Kazem Uddin Ahmed Dhonu, former chairman of the upazilla parishad; Md Mokhlesur Rahman, president of Bhaluka Banik Samity; Md Zakir Hossain and Md Abdur Rahman, businesspersons of the area; addressed the function among clients and local elites.
Md. Abdul Jabbar, executive vice president of the bank, addressed the program among others.
Abu Sayed Md Idris, senior vice president and Head of Mymensingh Zone of the bank, presented keynote paper titled ‘Superiority and Success of Islamic Banking System’.
Executives and officials of the bank along with local businesspersons, professionals, and social elites attended the program.
