Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Al-hajj Abul Quasem, sponsor director of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited was died at 9.30am on February 24, 2016, Wednesday at a hospital in Dhaka. (Inna lilahi wa innailaihi raziun).

He was 90. He left behind three sons, six daughters, relatives and a host of well-wishers to mourn his death.

He will be buried for eternal rest at his family graveyard at Khuruskhul village after janaja prayer at 10.00am on Thursday at the Cox’s Bazar Sadar Eidgah.

Abul Quasem was the Sponsor Director of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited and administered the bank from 1984 to 1987 as director.

Abul Quasem, council member of the then undivided Chittagong district, was born at Khurusakhul of Cox’s Bazar in 1927.

His father was late Kala Mia Sikder and mother late Shamshad Khatun.

Engineer Mustafa Anwar, Chairman and Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Managing Director of Islami Bank expressed deep sorrow at the death of Abul Quasem and expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family. Special prayers were arranged at head office, zone offices and branches of the bank seeking eternal peace.
