IBCF to work for development of Islamic banking in Bangladesh

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- All the members of Islamic Banks Consultative Forum (IBCF) at a meeting of the forum's task committee decided to work together for rapid development of Islamic banking and coordination about ethics and work plans.

Task committee Chairman and Managing Director of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) Mohammad Abdul Mannan presided over the meeting, held at IBBL head office in Dhaka recently.

The meeting also discussed the issues of Islamic banking, syndicated investment in risk-free sectors especially in the government ones, concerted effort to train up employees, joint venture publicity and use of unique software in banking activities.

Export Import Bank of Bangladesh Limited Kazi Mashiur Rahman, Social Islami Bank Limited Abu Sadek Md Sohel, Southeast Bank Limited Senior Executive Vice President Muhammad Shahjahan, Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited Senior Executive Vice President Md Shafiul Alam, Al-Arafah Islami Bank Limited Executive Vice President Mofazzal Hossain, Prime Bank Limited Senior Vice President AZM Sheikhul Islam, Dhaka Bank Limited Senior Vice President Syed Abdul Quader and ICB Islamic Bank Ltd Assistant Vice President Abdullah Sharif, among others, attended the meeting.
