Chittagong, Bangladesh (BBN)– Bangladesh face lowly Hong Kong in their third and last group A qualifying round match of the ICC World Cup T20 schedule to be held on Thursday at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in the country’s port city.

The match kicks off at 7.30 pm (local time).

Bangladesh already crossed the major hurdle on way to their the next round as they blew away Afghanistan by nine wickets in their opening qualifying round match and defeated Nepal by eight wickets it their second match.

The Tigers are only one step behind from their desired target as a win against Hong Kong will mean they will earn the right to play for the super ten stage.

The victories against Afghanistan and Nepal were cry needed for the Tigers to boost up their performance in the ongoing World Cup after a frustrating show in the home series against Sri Lanka and five-nation Asia Cup.

All the three departments of team Bangladesh put up an excellent performance in their previous group two matches and they are hoping to carry out their performance to their last group match against Hong Kong.

On the other hand, Hong Kong already made their exit from the tournament losing both their group matches against Afghanistan and Nepal.

Meanwhile, Afghanistan take on Nepal in another group A qualifying round match that starts at 3.30 pm on the same day and
venue. Afghanistan kept their super berth alive after an emphatic seven wickets victory over Hong Kong in their second match.

Earlier, Afghanistan were beaten by Bangladesh by nine wickets in their opening qualifying round match.
