ICCB team off to Hong Kong to attend ICC-G20 Advisory Group meeting

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - A four-member ICC Bangladesh delegation headed by its President Mahbubur Rahman left Dhaka for Hong Kong on Thursday to attend the ICC-G20 Regional Consultation for Asia and the Pacific in Hong Kong on September 22-23.
 
The business leaders will deliver on the set of recommendations to be submitted by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and G20 Advisory Group  to the G20 Summit due to be held in Canne, France in November 2011.
 
It may be mentioned that with a view to ensuring balance and substance behind its recommendations, ICC already organized three consultative sessions with regional business leaders in Mexico City, Doha and Zurich.
 
Topics to be covered in the Hong Kong Consultation will include: trade, investment and development ; strengthening financial regulations and ensuring the availability of trade finance ; reforming the international monetary system ; mitigating the adverse impacts of commodity price volatility, fighting corruption and  encouraging green growth.
 
The other Members of the ICC Bangladesh delegation are Mr. Latifur Rahman, Vice President of ICC Bangladesh and Chairman & Managing Director, Transcom Limited, Syed Manzur Elahi, Chairman, Apex Adelchi Footwear Limited and Maj Gen  Amjad Khan Chowdhury (Retd), President, Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI), Dhaka & CEO of PRAN-RFL Group.
