ICSB delegation meets SEC chief

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - A delegation of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) led by its President Mohammad Sanaullah made a courtesy call on M Khairul Hossain, Chairman, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) at his office in the capital Dhaka on Sunday.

The other members of the delegation were Mohammad Asad Ullah, immediate past president and council member of the Institute and Raja Mahmudul Haque, deputy secretary, ICSB.

The delegation discussed at length the issues concerning the profession of Chartered Secretary in Bangladesh as well as various activities undertaken by ICSB for the development of the Institute. The delegation felt encouraged by the positive and reassuring views of the SEC chief.

The SEC chairman gave a patience hearing to the delegation and highly appreciated the activities of the Institute and put thrust to establish good governance in the corporate sector of Bangladesh.
