Cartagena, Colombia (BBN)- Mark A. Messura was elected Chairman of the International Forum for Cotton Promotion (IFCP) for a second term at the Annual Business Meeting of the membership held in Cartagena de Indias on October 01.
Mr. Messura is the Senior Vice President of Global Supply Chain Marketing for U.S. based Cotton Incorporated.
Mr. Zbigniew Roskwitalski, IFCP Chairman for five consecutive terms, is the Immediate Past Chairman. Mr. Roskwitalski is the Executive Director of the Izba Bawelny w Gdyni (Gdynia Cotton Association).
The meeting ran concurrently with the 72nd Plenary Meeting of the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC).
Elected to the role of Vice Chairman is Elke Hortmeyer, Director of Economic Research, Publications and Communications at Bremer Baumwollbörse (Bremen Cotton Exchange), and Nayan C. Mirani, Vice President of the Cotton Association of India (CAI), will serve a third term as Treasurer.
Jeffrey Silberman continues in the post of Executive Director of the IFCP. He is also the Chairperson of the Textile Development and Marketing Department at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City.
The International Forum for Cotton Promotion (IFCP) provides a global informational exchange that encourages generic cotton demand enhancement activity. The IFCP provides examples of ways to inexpensively promote cotton on a sub-national, national, and transnational basis, in ways that can be replicated around the world.
