Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Left-handed batsman Imrul Kayes will replace injured Anamul Haque in the upcoming World Cup matches that Bangladesh are scheduled to play.
Batsman and wicketkeeper Anamul could not play any more match in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 tournament as he sustained severe injuries during fielding against Scotland in Nelson on Thursday.
Anamul had hurt his right shoulder while fielding in the 31st over against Scotland in the 27th match of the ICC World Cup at Saxton Oval in New Zealand.
He was driven to a local hospital straight from the field.
Imrul will leave Dhaka for Australia Thursday night, media reports said.
