India agrees to upgrade Bangladesh Visa Office in Agartala

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Government of India has conveyed its concurrence to the upgradation of the Bangladesh Visa Office in Agartala to an Assistant High Commission, an Indian High Commission announcement said in Dhaka on Friday.  

“This is in response to a request made by Bangladesh.  India’s decision to do so is in keeping with the existing friendly relations between the two countries and will further strengthen Bangladesh’s diplomatic representation in India,” the announcement noted.
