India assures Bangladesh of sending back Nur Hossain

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-India has given assurance of extraditing Nur Hossain to Bangladesh, the main accused in the seven murder case of Narayanganj.
Bangladesh is also ready to send back ULFA (United Liberation Front of Assom) leader Anup Chetia to India.
Home Secretary Dr. Md. Mozammel Haque Khan informed reporters emerging from a meeting with his Indian counterpart Anil Goswami at a hotel in Dhaka.
This is the first home secretary level meeting between the two countries after Narendra Modi government assumed power in India.
Asked about the extradition of Anup Chetia, he said Bangladesh informed India about its eagerness to extradite Anup Chetia to India maintaining due procedure.
He (Anup) also expressed his desire to return to India, he said adding that he (Anup) earlier sought political asylum in Bangladesh.
Mozammel also informed the press that they had talks about extradition of Nur Hossain, saying, "India assured us of sending back Nur Hossain to Bangladesh maintaining the appropriate legal procedure."
Besides Nur Hossain, they also assured of sending back other criminals to Bangladesh now hiding in India, he also said.
The meeting also discussed the killings at border. "Killing at border has declined but efforts are on to bring it to zero level," he added.
