New Delhi, India (BBN)- India confirmed 11  more cases of the deadly Influenza A (H1N1) virus on Monday, taking the total cases to 308, the health ministry said.

Of the 11 cases that tested positive for swine flu, four came from New Delhi, two from each Hyderabad, Pune, Cochin and one from Chennai, a health ministry press statement said.

So far, 1595 people have been tested, of which 308 have tested positive for Influenza A (H1N1), 474 out of the 1549 tested have been identified through entry screening, 208 people through contact tracing and the rest were self reported, according to the statement.

“Of the 308 positive cases, 183 have been discharged,” the statement said, adding that the remainders are undergoing treatment at a health facility.
