New Delhi, India (BBN)- India detected 19 more cases of the deadly Influenza A (H1N1) virus on Thursday, putting the total number of cases to 615, the health ministry officials said.
Of the 19 new cases that tested positive for swine flu, 11 came from New Delhi and eight from Pune, according to a health ministry press statement.
So far, 2772 people have been tested, of which 615 are positive for Influenza A (H1N1), 615 out of the 2772 tested have been identified through entry screening, 576 people through contact tracing and the rest were self reported, the statement noted.
"Of the 615 positive cases, 487 have been discharged. One case has died," the ministry said, adding that rest of them remains admitted to the identified health facility.
