New Delhi, India (BBN)-India confirmed five more cases of the deadly Influenza A (H1N1) virus on Wednesday, taking the total cases to 158, the health ministry said.
Of the five new cases that tested positive for swine flu on the day, two Srinagar and one each from Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore, health ministry officials confirmed.
"So far, 1,007 people have been tested, of whom 158 have tested positive for Influenza A(H1N1)," the officials added.
An official said, of the 1,007 people tested for swine flu, 303 were identified through entry screening at the 22 international airports.
Of the 158 positive cases, 113 have been discharged, according to reports.
