New Delhi, India (BBN)- India detected 131 more cases of the deadly Influenza A (H1N1) virus on Saturday, putting the total number of cases in the country to 2,669, the health ministry officials said.
Of the 131new cases that tested positive for swine flu, 44 came from New Delhi, 23 from Maharashtra, 21 from Karnataka, 20 from Taminadu, nine from Kerala, five from West Bengal, three from Goa, two each from Haryana and Rajasthan and one each from Chattishgarh and Madhya Pradesh, according to a health ministry press statement.
So far, 14,187 people have been tested and 2,669 of them are positive for Influenza A (H1N1). A total 834 out of the 14,187 tested have been identified through entry screening, 1,911 people through contact tracing and the rest were self reported, the ministry said.
