New Delhi, India (BBN)- India confirmed 16 more cases of the deadly Influenza A (H1N1) virus on Friday, taking the total cases to 525, health officials said.
Of the 16 new cases that tested positive for swine flu, 10 from came from Pune, two from Hyderabad and one each from New Delhi, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, and Manipur, according to a health ministry press statement.
So far, 2361 people have been tested, of which 525 are positive for Influenza A (H1N1), 529 out of the 2361 tested have been identified through entry screening, 489 people through contact tracing and the rest were self reported, the statement added.
"Of the 525 positive cases, 369 have been discharged," the ministry said, adding that rests of them remains admitted to the identified health facility.
