New Delhi, India (BBN)- India confirmed 19 more cases of the deadly Influenza A (H1N1) virus on Monday, taking the total cases to 212, the health ministry said.
Of the new cases that tested positive for swine flu on the day, eight from Hyderabad, six from New Delhi, two from Ahmedabad and one each from Thiruvanathapuram, Mumbai and Pune, health ministry officials reportedly confirmed.
A total of 133 patients out of 212 have been discharged, a health ministry official said, adding that 79 patients remain admitted to different hospitals across the country.
So far, 1,205 people have been tested in India, of whom 212 tested positive for Influenza A (H1N1). Of the 1,205 people, 358 were identified at entry screening, 52 through contact, and the rest were self reported, the ministry said.
