Goa, India (BBN)-India invited Bangladesh to participate in the 11-day long 46th edition of International Film Festival of India (IFFI-2015).
The IFFI is scheduled to be held in Goa from 20th to 30th November this year, said a press statement of Indian High Commission in Dhaka on Tuesday.
The festival is accredited with the International Federation of Film Producers’ Association (FIAPF).
IFFI is the oldest and most prestigious international film festival in India which attracts film makers and film lovers from all over the world.
The festival has an ‘International Competition’ Section for feature films by filmmakers from all over the world, apart from the regular features of the festival, such as the Indian Panorama, Non-Competition (Cinema of the world), Foreign Retrospective, Homage and focus.
The total prize money for the Competition Sections is approximately US$1,50,000.
Bangladeshi film makers and film organisations are invited to participate in the festival.
