Dubai, UAE (BBN)-Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is probably considering to play a tri-series with neighboring countries Pakistan and Bangladesh in case the planned series with Pakistan fails to be turned up, sources said.
As stated by the sources, BCCI Secretary Anurag Thakur and Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shahryar Khan met in Dubai where Anurag informed him that anything regarding December series could not be discussed as Indian board is entangled in its internal affairs, reports the Pakistan Today.
According to the sources, India may come up with a tri-series involving Bangladesh and Pakistan if the scheduled December series fails to take place.
One thing should be reminded that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s Advisor on National Security and Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz said in a statement that there was no chance of a Pak-India series in the wake of ongoing uncertain situation of the bilateral issues.
Meanwhile, former Test captain Wasim Akram and current one Misbahul Haq have coveted for the series to take place as per scheduled in December.
Earlier, PCB chairman had written a letter to BCCI seeking confirmation on the series to which they did not reply; however, they said a reply was expected in October.
