India reports second swine flu death

New Delhi, India (BBN)- India on Saturday reported its second swine flu death after a 53-year old woman died in Mumbai from the deadly disease, heath officials confirmed.

The deceased tested positive for A(H1NI) influenza hours before her death in Kasturba Hospital of Mumbai on Saturday afternoon, they added.

She was undergoing treatment in a private hospital for the last couple of days. On Friday she was taken to Leelawati Hospital which referred her to Kasturba Hospital, according to reports.

India reported its first swine flu death on August 3 after a 14-year-old girl student in the country's western city, Pune died from the disease.
