Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The India Show in Bangladesh on the theme ‘Partnerships for Progress’ is scheduled to be held on December  3-5  this year. 
The first-ever India Show in Dhaka is an exhibition which aims at bringing the business communities of both countries together. The exhibition will also feature a series of seminars, B2B interactions, product displays and include a public interface, the organizers said.
The event will explore opportunities, build synergies and examine joint investment proposals by business houses on both sides. The India Show has been planned to take the India-Bangladesh business relationship to the next level to forge substantive mutually rewarding partnerships.
 
The “India Show”, is organised by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) with the assistance of Government of India. Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IBCCI) are the Bangladesh partners in the event.
 
Ghulam Mohammad Quader, commerce minister, and Dr. D. Purandeswari, Indian minister of state for commerce and industry will jointly inaugurate the India Show on December 03,
A high-powered Indian government and business delegation will visit Dhaka in connection with the exhibition. Representatives of over 50 prominent Indian companies will be in the business delegation.
 
More than sixty Indian companies representing textile and handicrafts, automobile and spare parts, readymade garments, consumer products, jewellery, healthcare, education, information technology, agro-business and food processing, renewable energy, light engineering and others will exhibit their products and services in over 100 stalls and pavilions.
 
Seminars on investment opportunities and B2B sessions have been arranged on the sidelines of the exhibition to find out ways to strengthen bilateral business cooperation and increase investment. A number of B2B agreements on trade and investment are expected to be signed during the event. 
 
A special feature of the India Show is the exhibition of Indian Gems & Jewellery organised by the Gems & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC). This includes display and sale of some of the best pieces of contemporary Indian jewellery. India Show will be open to the business community and public on all three days from 10am to 8pm. Entry is free of charge.
