Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The Indian BJP government is standing beside the Sheikh Hasina government when Bangladesh is facing a severe political volatality, reports BBC Bangla quoting BJP leaders.
Bangladesh has been witnessing a political turmoil since January 5, the first anniversary of 10th national election through which the Hasina government came to power.
“There is no possibility to stay away from a trusted friend like Sheikh Hasina,” BBC reports quoting front-ranking BJP leaders.
The BJP leaders however said that though they have a contact with BNP, but “it is nothing than a political relation”.
India had supported the January 5 “controversial” elections, they added.
After the Hasina government assumed the power, there is change in Indian government, but the new BJP government is keeping trust on Hasina government, the report said.
West Bengal BJP leader Siddharth Nath Singh however confirmed that the BJP has a support for incumbent Awami League government.
It is widely believed that Singh has a connection with Bangladesh politicians.
