India vs South Africa match
Melbourne, Australia (BBN)-India put their mighty step into the ICC Cricket World Cup tournament as they defeated South Africa by 130 runs in their Pool B match in Melbourne on Sunday.
India exhibited their force limiting South Africa in only 177 runs in 40.2 overs.
Earlier on February 15, India won their opening World Cup match against their archrival Pakistan by 76 runs.
In the first half of Sunday’s match, India piled 307 runs as Shikhar Dhawan pushed his team adding a 137-run post.
South Africa demonstrated their might taking five wickets repeated at the last leg of the first half.
In the beginning of the match, India adopted a cautious stance after Rohit Sharma’s departure without any run.
Prior to the match, India had won the toss and decided to bat first at their high voltage encounter with pre-tournament favourite South Africa.
