New Delhi, India (BBN)- India confirmed on Thursday three more deaths from the deadly influenza A (H1N1) virus, taking the total swine flu deaths in the country to 20, the health ministry said.
Two people including a nine-month old child in the country’s western city, Pune and one in Bangalore died of the deadly disease on Thursday, according to reports.
The health ministry, however, said in a press statement that 20 persons have died till Thursday.
India reported its first swine flu death on Aug. 3 after a 14-year-old girl student in Pune died from the disease. A 53-year-old woman was the second victim in Mumbai dying on Aug. 8.
