Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– Ambassador, India’s most trusted automobile brand of Hindustan Motors, hit in the local market on Saturday as a leading local business conglomerate, Intraco Motors Limited, teamed with Hindustan Motors, the oldest flagship venture of CK Birla Group. 
Two types of ambassador cars — Petrol/CNG-run (1800CC and AC) and diesel-run (1350 CC and AC) — vehicles would be available on local markets while the cars would cost BDT 2.250 million and BDT 1.550 million respectively.
“I would like to invite you (Indian automobile investors) to invest directly or relocate your industry in Bangladesh. As a minister I assure you allout support on behalf of the government,” Industries Minister Dilip Barua said while inaugurating the ambassador at a city hotel.
Acting Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka Sanjoy Bhattacharyya, FBCCI senior vice president M Jashim Uddin and Managing Director of Hindustan Motors Manoj Jha, among others, spoke on the occasion.
Hindustan Motors Limited, a flagship venture of the multi-billion-dollar CK Birla Group, India, in collaboration with Intraco Group will also set up a car manufacturing plant at Savar.
The plant will be set with an estimated cost of US$10 million and both the companies have a plan to assemble 10,000 cars within the next three years. Initially, they will assemble 200 cars.
This was informed at the launching ceremony of Ambassador, India’s most trusted car, in Bangladesh.
