Indian art exhibition begins in Bangladesh capital

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - A weeklong art exhibition by artists of the Indian state of Tripura began at the Fine Arts faculty of Dhaka University (DU) in the capital on Saturday.

DU Vice-Chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique inaugurated the exhibition organised by Kirat, an organisation of Indian north-eastern region artists, held at Zainul Gallery-2.

Paintings and sculptures of 14 artists will be displayed here till March 25. The gallery will remain open from 12:00pm to 8:00pm everyday. Fine Arts faculty Dean Professor Emdadul Haque Md Motlub Ali, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy DG Kamal Lohani and Kirat President Pabitra Kar also spoke.
